I have too many memories of her that I’ve been sifting through. From going to the mall, to eating the food she cooked, to just sitting around the living room with the rest of the family and laughing. Sylvia treated me like one of her own. I remember walking in with summer one day and asking for her name so I could properly address her and she said “I’m grandma” from then on, I just called her grandma. She was a strong woman, she was feisty, she had an amazing sense of humor and she loved everyone in her family, in addition to those who her family loved unconditionally. Her light was so bright that even though her physical presence isn’t here with us, its warmth can still be felt. I love you guys and I’m so sorry for this immeasurable loss. I will miss you grandma fontanez 💝

Wow, I consider myself pretty lucky. To have two Mom’s in my life. My second Mom was one of the best. Since the day, I walked in to Melissa‘s house, Mom and Pop welcome me with open arms. She was my other mom. We just lost her recently. We would spend so much time just being FRIENDS. She was kind, thoughtful, understanding, and caring. She did things with the best of intentions, always. She had her own children however she kept me and my children right in there, like we belonged and had been part of her family forever. She referred to my children as her own grandchildren and my granddaughter as her great granddaughter as well. She never met a stranger. She never judged anyone. I am crushed. Absolutely and abundantly heartbroken. All I keep thinking mom, how soon we lost you, how it’s too early, how much I wanna run to my sis’s house and see you sitting there. Giving me warm hugs and kisses. How As soon as I got there, you asked me what am I going to cook for you. Those are the memories that I’m going to hold close to my heart. I’m going to always have you close to me always keep you in my heart and thoughts. You would never be forgotten.
