Ronald "Duke" Adkinson's Obituary
We very sadly wish to announce the passing of Ronald “Duke”
Adkinson, 77, of Miami, Fl, on November 24th, 2025 at 7:25AM. He
passed at home after fighting a difficult battle with cancer. He is now at
peace, but will be missed beyond measure. He is survived by us, his 2
daughters to whom he devoted everything. Brenda Adkinson, 53, and
Frances Eawaz, 47. He is also survived by his 3 grandsons whom he
adored; Benjamin Adkinson, Nathaniel Adkinson and Dillon Eawaz.
Duke was born and raised in Miami, FL, a true Miami native. He came
from humble beginnings, and ultimately joined the United States
Marine Corps. He met our mother, Kathleen, at the Hialeah Race Track
and went on to start a family. Shortly thereafter, Duke became part of
the Miami-Dade County Fire Department. He proudly served for 30
years, and enjoyed it thoroughly. After retirement, his favorite things
to do were spending time with his grandsons, and sitting on his back
porch with a cup of coffee. Duke was one of a kind; his humor lifted
the spirits of many.
Duke will be missed for years to come by so many.
