He was the best! I was blessed to have had my Elder Links program fall under his purview at EMS for many years. He was remarkable in so many ways, one of them being empowering those who worked for him to think on their own, and be confident in our decisions based on experience and best practices. I knew Duke well, and that he said he did not attend funerals. I certainly would attend his as an honor to a man who will be missed by many, especially his family, daughters and grandsons. He will be very much missed by his family at MDFR. I’m pretty sure he had a single digit paramedic number being one of the very first and as I have learned since, also because his last name started with an A! I just wished I’d stayed in touched after I retired.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
