I will always remember how kind Toni was to me when I was growing up in the Bronx. She loved to read books, especially romance novels and would share her passion with me. She was also a classic movie fan and knew a lot about the history of the old actors and actresses, which she shared.
She was very supportive of me and Steven when we came back from Texas. She showered him with attention and gifts. I am very grateful for her love and acceptance. I will not forget that. Over the years, while she lived in the Bronx, I would visit her and spend hours talking about books, movies, food recipes, local events and about her life experiences. She gave me the recipe to make pastels, which was about 42 years ago and I still use it to make my Christmas pastels! She will be sorely missed by many. She is now resting in peace with her parents in paradise. Love you Toni forever.

I grew up in the same building as Toni, I was a child then. However, when I got older we became good friends as I grew up with her daughter Lisa. My mother, another friend, Carmen and Toni, used to go to bingo on Fridays and sometimes Saturday, they were the three Musketeers ! I remember when Toni would return from work, I’d be there waiting! We found out that we loved reading the same kind of books and we would exchange books, discuss them weekly!! She encouraged me to be an avid reader! She had an open door policy (literally) and you’d walk into her home, call her name, she’d tell you to “come on in!” We sit together talking for hours! She was like my second mom! She will be missed by so many for she was loved by so many! Toni, Rest in heavenly peace. You’re with the Bingo girls, you’ll are back together again!
