John Clifton Nichols' Obituary
John Nichols, of Miami, FL, passed away June 11, 2019. He was born April 29, 1954, in Miami, FL to Silas and Helen Nichols. He graduated from Coral Park High School in 1972 and attended Florida International University, receiving his Bachelor’s in Accounting. He went on to have a successful career as both a CPA and a banker.
John was an active member of the Catholic Church and belonged to the EMMAUS brothers at the Parrish of St. Agatha. He enjoyed playing basketball and golf, and watching the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins. He loved spending time with his family above all else, and they loved him so. He was a devoted father and grandfather and loving husband.
He is survived by his beloved wife Maby Gonzalez-Nichols; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Luis Lopez, with their children Taylor and Zachary; his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Wagner Assis, with their children Charles and Alexandra; his nephew Michael DiRosa, and his loving mother Helen Nichols.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Angela DiRosa Nichols. John actively raised money for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, in remembrance of Angela.
