John was one of the finest examples of a Christian man that I have ever known. He cherished his family and spoke of them lovingly and often. He was possessed of a kind and gentle soul and I will always hold a special place in my heart for him. I will miss his welcoming smile, his sense of humor, his brotherly advice and his graceful presence. Our Emmaus group will miss his humility, humanity and, more than anything else, his example. I know that Heaven is a far better place today because he is there now and I take comfort in the fact that we all have a faithful angel to watch over us. God bless you my brother. I will miss you.
John was an examplary Emmaus Brother. The joy and pride of his life was his family. I picture him enlightening us in Emmaus with the Magnificat in hand speaking to us about the Gospel and how he lived inspired by it. We pray for John, for his wife and family as we ask him to pray for us knowing that Jesus Christ is Risen!
We are so sorry to hear about the sudden death of John. He was a good man. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. Sheila and Ruben Duque
I truly miss my Emmaus brother John .
He was one of the most inspiring mentor . His talks in every retreat he served touched me and helped me to grow in my Catholic faith and get closer to the Lord.
He used to called me “Joe Thorn”
because my name is Jose Espinal.
God rest his soul.
