Eileen Alana Lingle's Obituary
Eileen Alana Lingle
01/11/1937 – 06/08/2025
Eileen slipped away peacefully from us on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born in Harrisburg, PA on January 11, 1937, to her parents, Darwin E. Richmond and Carolyn A. Roden. She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert M. Lingle, Jr. They were married for 68 years prior to his passing in November 2023.
Eileen retired from Miami-Dade Public schools as a cafeteria manager in the late 90s when they relocated from Miami to Deland, Florida.
She thrived in her new community joining the Garden Club, cooking church dinners and hosting get togethers. Her friends and neighbors became part of her extended family. She led an active life of square dancing, camping, gardening, puzzling and reading and was involved in many church activities. She is most famous for her cake baking and decorating!
As a mom, she was devoted to raising her two children and lovingly cared for her home. Eileen loved to sing, play games, travel and spend time with family. She will be remembered by all for her generosity, smile, love of dogs and joy of life.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Robert M. Lingle, III (Susana), daughter, Linda E. Sharp (Timothy). Grandchildren, Robert M. Lingle IV, (Amy), Stephanie Leather, (George), Amanda Leather, (Sean), Alexandra Alexander, (Matthew). Great grandchildren, Sebastian, Owen, Savannah, Jackson, Wesley, Julia, Madelyn, and Luke.
We would like to thank The Palace Gardens staff for tenderly and compassionately caring for our mother. We are so grateful to you for showing her so much love and happiness.
