You’re gone……. You slipped away so very quietly in the night. So like you Mom, to be unpretentious, always thinking of others. Not to be a bother. Now an empty space. The void will be filled with memories. I’m so grateful that I was able to sit with you in your final days. Holding your hand. We remembered the fun we had sitting on the porch swing talking about everything and nothing. Working together in the yard, trimming, pulling weeds, watering. We shared many precious moments with heads bent over a jigsaw puzzle. We went for walks with Princess, lunch just the two of us. Remember Mom. There is always the unspoken bond between a mother and daughter. I hope you felt it too Mom, a well worn coziness only we could understand. And now I continue on holding you in my heart forever. I love you till the fire flies.
