Aixa Kydd
Our Auntie Cari was so many things to our family. She was counselor, mother, friend, and even playmate. She lived with our family since the age of fifteen. She grew from teenage years playing Barbies with Zoe, to becoming godmother to Aixa, to attending all our birthdays, Holy Communions, Confirmations, and Weddings. In recent years, she had become a playmate again, but this time to Zoe’s grandchildren. She became the great aunt that every one of our children and grandchildren begged to have come visit us in Texas. She never forgot a birthday, and she never missed sending a card and gift. She grew to love and have personal relationships to each member of the family as it grew with husbands, wives, and every new birth. She was adventurous, curious, and compassionate. We loved seeing her wide-eyed curiosity with every trip we took to Tampa, Orlando, Dallas. She graced us with a road trip to San Antonio, and made every moment that much more fun. Whenever we visit Miami, we would pick her up in the morning, and dropped her off late at night. She loved to thrift shop, especially with Zoe, to pick out little trinkets for each member of the family, especially the kids. She sometimes was frustratingly obstinate, but that trait only pointed to her strong and devoted character. She was a strong defender and protector to of all of us. We have missed you since the day you departed. We grow in hope that we will see you again when we are reunited by our Heavenly Father.
