With deepest sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Alfredo Jesus Barrera. Born into life Sept 30,1959. Born into eternity July 28,2021.
Alfredo is survived by his spouse Ayvi and step daughter Karol, his daughters Jessica, Jennifer, son Alfred and mother Angela, sisters Jacquelyn and Maria.
Alfredo was born in Cuba on September 30, 1959 to Alfredo and Angela Barrera, he was brought to the United States at the age of 2.
In his early years he joined the United States Marine Corps to proudly serve his country, however, after a tragic car accident that impacted his physical ability to continue with his service, he was honorably discharged from the military.
Alfredo was always extremely dedicated, responsible and a good provider for his family. Those who knew Alfredo, even just a little, will testify to his genuine good heartedness, ability to listen and willingness to offer advice when asked.
On his down time he enjoyed reading, researching and learning new things. One of Alfredo’s greatest passions was to help others in need, it was obvious to all that knew him that this truly fulfilled him. As for his activities he enjoyed fishing and going for a ride on his motorcycle. Mostly, he loved being home with his wife and passing time with family, watering his plants, relaxing on his designated recliner with his feet up, and petting his dog Mia.
Alfredo was a father, a husband, a brother, a son, good friend and now an Angel in heaven. May he rest in peace and look over his family from above.
