You left us without a warning, not even a good bye. I wish I could see you one more time, walking through the door, to see you seating in your recliner or at the kitchen counter, but I know that is impossible, I will hear your voice no more.
I know you can feel my tears and you don’t want me to cry. I will pray that God will give me the strength and somehow get me through as I struggle with the heartache that came when we lost you.

Alfred always kept our family on our toes and when times were hard was always there to pick us up, he had an infectious smile most times and that stern face when he wanted to stress the importance of "go to the other room" or "cover your eyes".
