Willy Royal S Webster Jr's Obituary
Willy Royal S Webster Jr 95, Born and raised in Cuba, Currently from Coral Gables. Survived by his loving wife Ana Maria Davide. Born in Havana Cuba to American parents, Willy was a Cuban by birth and American by blood. Willy grew up on the families 400 acre beach club "Playa Tara" where he helped his father build a world class marina-which he stills operates today-in addition to Cuba's first drive-in movie theater. At age 17, Willy left the Roston Academy High School in Havana to enlist as a Merchant Marine in WWII. He would later be drafted to serve his country in Kore and was discharged honorably. Willy will be remembered for his patriotism and profound love of his country After attending college Missouri School of Minds & Metallurgy in Rolla, Missouri where he would graduate with an engineering degree . He made his way to Miami Fl where he started his career as a building inspector for Dade County. He once hoisted by crane to inspect the famous letter "D" sign at Dadeland Mall . Later on, he would join as an owner in the General Asphalt Corporation which would go on to be the largest asphalt company in Miami-dade where he retired in 2013. He is survived by his wife Ana Maria Davide-Webster, his children, Magda Webster, Martha "Martu" Valdes-Diaz, Helen Webster, Cristina McDonald , & Roya; "Pancho" Webster. Step-Children Ana Davide-Kahn, Salvatore Davide & Anthony Davide, 14 grandchildren. Funeral Mass to be held Friday 9/23 @ 1pm at Our lady of Divine Providence Church, 10205 west Flagler Street, followed with burial at Miami Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77th Avenue. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. Services will be handled by Westchester Funeral Home.
