Thank you, Bill, for being you: always in a great mood with a smile on your face.
You generously gave your time during my summer public school teaching duties as a guest speaker to promote sea turtle awareness and the need for habitat protection. These learning communities included elementary, middle school, and high school students as well as incarcerated individuals at a jail and residential settings.
My sympathy to the Ahern family for their loss. It was a sincere pleasure to know and experience just a small part of the legacy of Bill Ahern to hundreds - maybe thousands - of young, now older, Miami -Dade residents.
