In Loving Memory of Walid Awad
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walid Awad, who left us on September 20, 2025, at the age of 62. Walid Awad was born on May 19, 1963, in Lebanon, to Sleiman Chlaywit and Samirah Chlaywit. He was a beloved father and grandfather, and his passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Walid was known for his kindness, his dedication to his family and willingness to help others without hesitation. He dedicated his life to helping his family, and his impact on those around him will never be forgotten.
Walid was preceded in death by his loving wife Diana and his parents. He is survived by his children, Samirah, Gabriel, Adam and his son-in-law Michael, his brother, sisters, grandchildren, and a host of cherished friends and extended family members. He will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service to celebrate Walid Awad’s life will be held on September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 320 Palermo Ave, Coral Gables, Fl 33134.
