Theresa Ann Smith's Obituary
Theresa Ann Smith peacefully passed away after a long illness on Friday, November 8, 2019, at the age of 52. She was the beloved wife of Richard M. Smith Jr. for 27 years, and the loving mother of Lindsey and Lauren Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Smoot. She is survived by her mother Thelma Smoot, and her sister Dana Black (Richard). She is also survived by her many relatives from the Mississippi Gulf Coast to Chicago, Illinois to Virginia and points in between. She was the proud aunt of Matthew Smoot, Rene Black, Alexandra, Mackenzie and Maddox Musso, Gavin, Cade and Hudson Bourgeois. Theresa was born in Charleston, South Carolina and was raised in Long Beach, Mississippi. She graduated from Long Beach High and Loyola University of New Orleans. She served five years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force. For the last 13 years she resided with her family in Homestead, Florida and worked for the Dade County Farm Bureau until 2014. Her main goal in life was to be a terrific mom. She absolutely loved raising her daughters, bringing them to dance class, cheer leading practice and hosting an annual Christmas cookie party for their friends. She was everyone’s best friend and gone way too son.
