Ronald F. Morency is a Graduate of Ben Davis Highschool where he won the All-State Indiana Wrestling Championship for the 1962, 112 pounds weight class. Ronald honorably served over 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as an E7 Master Sergeant in 1984. Ronald earned the Vietnam Service medal denoting six tours to Southeast Asia. Ronald went on to pursue a lengthy career in the civilian aviation sector as an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic that spanned over 30 years culminating as a Designated Air Worthiness Representative for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years Florence Estelle Morency. Ronald’s children include Daughters Holly, Debbie, and Renee, as well as sons Terry and Christopher. Ronald’s most cherished loves include his grandchildren Jennifer and Jason; Aaron and Samantha; Courtney, Cody, and Carson; and Christiano and Francesca. We would be remiss not to mention the adorable grandkids as well which are too many to list.
There is no end to the road to sobriety. We celebrate Ronald provided support and friendship to those that sought help in the Homestead Room for over 30 Years. Ronald was also a devoted Mason and Shriner since 1976. Most notably, Ronald loved the freedom of the open road on his Harley Sportster, and It truly saddened him when he was no longer able to ride with his friends and family.
Ronald will be cremated and will participate in one final ride to the Florida Keys, where his ashes will be returning to the earth in an undisclosed location.
Ronald, our love goes with you, and we pray that you have found peace in the ever after.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
