Rogelio Salazar's Obituary
On Monday, January 18th, 2021, Rogelio Salazar, loving father of three children, passed away at the age of 82. Rogelio was born on September 16th, 1938 in Camarioca, Cuba to Fermin Salazar Dominguez and Angela Chinea. He left Cuba before the revolution and came to the US to start a better life for his entire family. He enlisted in the US Army and afterwards opened his own successful barber shop in Carol City, FL. He met the love of his life Mariana Ramos in 1967 and went on to marry and raise two children, Frank Ramos and Danelia Salazar. Later in life he was reunited with his daughter Miriam Gonzalez.
Rogelio enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing, however his biggest passion was helping others, especially his family. He worked tirelessly to free his loved ones from the Cuban regime and give them hope for a better life in the US. He was a hard worker known for his wisdom and solid advice.
Rogelio was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 43 years, his sister Lerraine Salazar Chinea, and his two brothers Armando and Otto. He is survived by his siblings, children, and many grandchildren.
