Rita M Meilan's Obituary

Rita was a woman defined by her warmth, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a full and meaningful life, touching countless hearts with her kindness, humor, and quiet strength. Whether through a thoughtful word, a shared meal, or a simple smile, Rita had a way of making those around her feel deeply valued and loved. She found great joy in tending to her garden, where her patience and care brought beauty to life season after season, and she held a special affection for animals, offering them the same gentle compassion she showed to everyone she met.
In her later years, Rita faced Alzheimer’s with remarkable grace. Though the disease gradually took pieces of her memory, it never diminished the love she gave or the impact she had on those closest to her. Her family stood by her side throughout this difficult journey, finding moments of connection, laughter, and love even as they navigated the challenges of the illness together.
Rita is survived by her loving family, sons Eddy Meilan and Felix Meilan (Michelle), grandchildren Tomas Meilan (Jennifer) and Daniel Meilan, great-grandchildren Bradley Meilan, Jack Meilan and Allison Meilan, brothers Ralph Sanchez (Esther) and Jose Sanchez (Silvia), and preceded in death by her brother Felix Sanchez (Rita).
