Rene Fernandez Arias' Obituary
Rene Fernandez, age 93, of Miami, FL. passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Rene’ was born on March 27, 1932, in Buena Vista, Cuba to Antonio and Herminia Fernandez. He was a proud graduate of Belen Jesuit High School in Cuba. He brought his family to the United States in 1964 hoping for a better life and future. Rene was a dedicated family man and worked hard to provide for his family. He had many jobs, Pressman, butcher, jeweler, etc. to provide for his family, but his last 20 years of work he worked for the City of Miami. Something he was extremely proud of.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Milagro; son, Rene’; grandchildren, Marc, Eric, Erika and Sergio; great grandchildren, Mila, McKenzie and Kennedy.
Rene was known for his kindness, sense of humor, love of gardening, all sports, especially baseball. He loved wearing his baseball caps and hats and was always dressed impeccably.
The family appreciates the love and support of friends and family during this time.
