Raquel G Vals' Obituary
Raquel immigrated to the United States to the City of New York in 1957 creating a life for herself in her beloved New York City. Raquel always loved and remembered her hometown of Preston, Cuba with warm and fond memories. However, her dream had been to live in New York, a dream which came true in 1957. Raquel married a wonderful and intelligent Spanish man from Seville, Spain and went onto to form a family along with their daughter, Isabel. Later family members from Cuba, a beloved sister, brother-in-law and nieces joined her in New York as well as many other family and friends. Raquel was fun loving, loved to dance and was very philanthropic and full of life. She made a huge difference for many people, and will be truly missed but always remembered fondly with a smile on our face.
In lieu of flowers please donate to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
