With unwavering pride for his newfound home, Randolfo became a living testament to resilience and the indomitable American spirit.
A lover of the great outdoors, Randolfo found solace and inspiration in the arms of nature. With an avid passion for hunting and fishing, he fearlessly pushed boundaries from the mountaintops to the ocean depths. During his youth, he embraced the wonders of the underwater world as a diving instructor, where the secrets concealed beneath the waves unfolded before him. His boundless love for the ocean left an indelible impression on those fortunate enough to hear his tales and witness the magic of the underwater realm through his eyes.
His love for nature was not just a hobby but a profound legacy. He bequeathed his boundless appreciation for the wilderness to his children and grandchildren, spending cherished hours fishing and imparting his wisdom of the wild. He planted a deep-rooted love for nature in their hearts—a precious gift that will flourish through future generations.
Nothing brought him more joy in the twilight of his life than the radiant presence of his children and grandchildren. They were the heartbeat of his existence, and he sought their company with an unyielding passion, treasuring every single moment spent together.
Throughout his illustrious life, Randolfo achieved greatness in various endeavors. He was a master builder of custom homes in the picturesque Islandmorada of the Florida Keys, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape. Additionally, he meticulously supervised the construction of iconic buildings that graced the Miami skyline, showcasing his craftsmanship and dedication.
Randolfo's life was a saga of relentless battles, with his fiercest adversary being non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. However, he confronted each challenge like a seasoned warrior, displaying unyielding strength that defied the odds for decades. Renowned oncologists marveled at his tenacity, declaring him a living miracle when he overcame his initial encounter with the disease. He faced every tribulation with valor and determination, etching a profound impression on all who witnessed his unwavering spirit.
On July 21, 2023, Randolfo Francisco Campins embraced his final battle with the same unwavering courage that had defined his entire existence. While he may have departed from this earthly realm, his legacy as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as his unyielding love for his homeland, will forever reverberate in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
Randolfo leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his devoted wife, Sofia; his children, Rick Campins, Michelle Campins-Cummings, Katrina Campins, and Camille Campins-Adams; his sister, Rita Lezcano; his adoring grandchildren, Kayla Schieffer; Samantha Campins; Jethro, Brooks, and Agatha Adams; and Pharaoh Moses. He was preceded in death by his mother, Zenaida, his father, Randolfo, and his beloved grandson, Anthony Campins.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Randolfo's epic life will be held on Wednesday, July 26. The viewing will take place at 9800 SW 24th St., Miami, FL 33165. The private viewing for immediate family will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, followed by a public viewing from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. At 1:30 PM, the preparation for transportation to the cemetery will commence, culminating in the burial service at 2:00 PM at 6200 SW 77 Ave Miami, FL 33143.
In honor of Randolfo's unwavering dedication to his country and his warrior spirit, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project—a cause that resonates deeply with his profound love for his country and his unwavering admiration for those who have served.
As we bid farewell to a life lived vibrantly, let us celebrate the memories, the laughter, and the love that Randolfo bestowed upon us all. May his soul find eternal rest, and may we take comfort in knowing that his undying spirit will forever ignite a flame in each of us.
