Perry Leroy Humphrey III's Obituary
Perry Humphrey was born December 5th, 1944, to
Perry Humphrey and Beretha Thomas, and was the oldest of 3 boys. He spent a great deal of time reading and becoming knowledgeable about various subjects.
He met the love of his life in high school, they married August 16th, 1965, and were married for 58 years. They were blessed with the birth of their 1st-born Tanya and 3 years later Jennifer arrived on the scene.
Perry joined the military at age 19 and spent several years overseas in Greece, Okinawa Japan, and Thailand. After Thailand, Perry was re- assigned to Homestead, FL, where he began his relationship with his Heavenly Father Jehovah, and was baptized in 1973 in symbol of his dedication. He spent the rest of his life in various spiritual pursuits such as construction projects, the prison ministry, serving first as a ministerial servant and then an elder in the local congregation.
He was a humble, devoted, hard-working
family man who enjoyed telling a dry joke or two. He was described by many as loving, kind, encouraging, patient, and very
spiritual. To the girls, he was just ‘Dad’.
