Tia Lina was the sweetest, most understanding, supportive, and beautiful inside and out person I’ve ever known. We were happy just being around her. She saw the good and the positive in every one of us. What I now realize is that she saw us as she was...nothing but wonderful. It was, and will always be, an honor to have been able to call you Tia, to be able to listen to your beautiful voice, to have been able to hold you, to have spent nights in your house, to have felt your love, and to have gotten advice from you. Thank you always for being my Tia.

My mother was, and still is unique. From my early memories of her until her last breath, I thank God I chose her to be my mom. Although it has only been 3 days since her passing, it feels like years. Not sure what that means. Mami, I am glad I had you for 92 years. No words will ever capture everything I want to tell you now. Thank you for loving us so so so much and even after your passing, for making sure we knew you had arrived and were with dad and the rest of the gang. Te la lucistes mami! Keep sending those messages mom, we all need them. For ever. Te adoro bombita linda. Te extraño madre de mi alma. Te quiero tanto. Que Dios te bendiga mamita linda.
