Pablo P Cejas' Obituary
Pablo P. Cejas (de Rojas), aged 87, passed away on November 27, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Pablo was born on December 26, 1936 in Habana, Cuba, where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend La Universidad de Villanueva where he studied Ciencias Comerciales, and later became a self-employed accountant, supporting a number of small businesses across Miami. Throughout his career, he was known for his attention to detail and tax expertise, but mostly for his friendship and advice.
But more than anything, Pablo was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his children, especially watching them participate in sports. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Pablo was an avid sports fan, and loved the game of baseball in its purist form, and would tell stories dating back to his childhood in amazing detail. He was also always eager to share his life experiences and Cuban heritage with those around him.
Pablo is survived by his loving wife, Alicia (Duarte de la Cruz),his children, Alicia (Jack) Sasportas, Paul (Joan) Cejas, Carlos (Monica) Cejas, Alex (Judy) Cejas, his grandchildren, Nick Cejas, Brandon Sasportas, Greg (Jill) Cejas, Matthew (Danielle) Sasportas, Christina (Andy) Tapella, Zachary Sasportas, Karla Cejas, Kevin Cejas, Sasha Cejas, Ando Cejas, and Anabelle Cejas, and his great-grandchildren Sophia, Matthew, Benjamin, Alexander, and Natalie.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
