Nelson B Sobrino's Obituary
Nelson B. Sobrino passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and love for his family.
Nelson proudly served as a police officer in Union City, New Jersey, where he earned the respect of colleagues and the community for his commitment to public service. After his law enforcement career, he became a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating Rapido Taxi, where he continued serving others with diligence and care.
He later worked for the Union City Board of Education, from which he retired, continuing to positively impact his community through his dedication and strong work ethic.
In October 2005, Nelson moved to Miami, Florida, where he spent his later years surrounded by family and friends.
Nelson shared a long and loving marriage with his wife, Zoila Morell, whom he married on October 6, 1978. Together, they built a life centered on family and devotion. He was a proud father to Nelson A. Sobrino and Cassandra Sobrino.
Nelson was also previously married to Martha Fundora, with whom he had two sons, Nelson D. Sobrino and Alexander Sobrino.
He was a cherished grandfather to Perry, Codey, and Jordan, who brought him great joy.
Nelson was predeceased by his brother, Alberto H. Sobrino.
He will be remembered for his strength, resilience, devotion to his family, and his many contributions to the communities he served. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
