Mom, I miss you more and more with each passing day. You continue to be such an example of an excellent mother to me. You would always say, In all things give thanks to the Lord, even in the most challenging and difficultt times, you would remain steadfast in this truth. My comfort comes from knowing that you are now healed and whole, free from pain and sorrow. Your joy is complete in the presence of your Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Your imprint will forever remain in my heart, and I will carry your wisdom and love for the truth and the Word of God with me for the rest of my days on earth. Until we are together again in heaven, where we will never be separated, I love you.

One of my fondest memories of my mom was seeing her enjoy the glaciers in Glacier Bay the year my husband and I took her and my dad on an Alaskan cruise. That day, she woke me up very early to get to the top viewing deck. While we were all literally freezing, wrapped in blankets and sipping hot cocoa, Mom was wearing a t-shirt and pants, happy as a clam, enjoying the cold temperature that she loved so much!
