Milagros Hernandez's Obituary
On January 21st, 1945, a baby girl was born tangled in her umbilical cord, on the verge of death before her life even began . She was named Milagros ‘Miracle’ for her miraculous recovery. Milagros “Millie” Hernandez, affectionately known as “Chiquitita” or “Gordita”, was reborn in Christ Jesus, May 7th, 2026. She is survived by her diligent and loving only son, her grandson, her younger brother, and all of the family and friends who loved her dearly. She was blessed to have a faithful and happy marriage for 49 years before my grandfather passed in 2018. What's beautiful is that she passed on the day of my grandfather's would-be 91st birthday. Now they are reunited as spirits in the Grace of God. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15 NKJV. Saint in Hebrew, “Chasidav,” meaning godly or loving ones. My grandmother was the sweetest lady. She loved Jesus, she loved her family, and she showed love and respect to all people wherever she went. Never in my 24 years did I see her angry. Despite the emptiness of her absence, we are so happy to know she is at peace. As it is written, a prayer for her soul, “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV. Amen. ~ Matthew “Mateo” Hernandez (Nieto)
