Diaz, Miguel's Obituary
Many knew him as Migue, Miguel, or Miguelito—as a father, son, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, family member, and friend—but above all, as a beloved person with an unforgettable smile. He is survived by his wife, Graciella Díaz; his father, Miguel Díaz; his sisters, María de Jesús Díaz and Yasmila Díaz; his daughters, Yesica Moya (Alejandro G.) and María Elena Moya (Fabio R.); his nephew Michelle and nieces Wendy, Meylin, Yeneisi, and Samantha; and his grandchildren Alondra, Santiago, Sofia, Fabio, and Brandon.
He was born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, the son of Miguel Díaz and Olimpia Astigueta Díaz. In 1992, he graduated from the Rafael María de Mendive Pedagogical University in Cuba, earning certifications in Economics and Foreign Languages. Hoping for a better life, he emigrated to Miami, Florida, where he met his wife, Graciella.
We will always cherish the wonderful community he built around him and the moments we shared. He possessed a character and a smile so precious that could lift spirits even during times of deep sadness. Wherever he went, he shared his laughter and pleasant company; yet, his unconditional love was what mattered most. He was always there for us, looking for the bright side of life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing dominoes, fishing, cooking, dancing, watching sports, and sharing a few drinks. He was always an optimist—cheerful and full of energy—an energy capable of brightening even a stranger's day. Migue was truly an extraordinary person who illuminated the lives of those around him.
Although Migue is no longer physically with us, his story will live on through every life he touched, every memory created, and the infinite love he gave.
