Max Del Valle's Obituary
Maximiliano Eduardo Del Valle, (AKA Max) born in Guanabacoa Cuba November 11th 1931, departed December 26th 2024.
He was educated and raised in a military school, Instituto Civico Militar de Holguin, which he was very proud of and where he developed a passion for boxing. After graduation he went to work with his father at Sinclair Oil, as an office runner, later promoted to the position of accountant.
God blessed him with a work of art and love of his life, Norma Ruiz Sanchez, who he wed. Their marriage lasted over 70 years, until God called him.
During his time in Cuba, he was blessed with three children, Max, Alicia and Norma. As communism approached Cuba, they struggled and finally achieved their escape from Cuba. During their departure from Cuba, Norma was carrying a bundle of joy, born in the United States named George. Six years after that there was another blessing. This one named Eddie.
Our father had no time for hobbies, at one time he held three jobs. He sometimes in-between jobs, would take a hot bath and sleep in the bathtub for a couple of hours before going to the next job.
For those of you who did not know our father. He was known as a man of honor, unquestionable integrity, loyalty, generosity, most of all love of family. By family we don’t mean just the core, but the extended family. He was a man of many layers to include a sense of humor and the acceptance of reality. His favorite pastime was family gathering, playing dominoes or watching a good boxing match. He was a Proud son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. His greatest accomplishment was teaching. He passed all the above aforementioned qualities with the help of our mother to his children.
How do you measure a man. You measure a man by what he leaves behind.
Our father is survived by his loving wife, brother, Orlando, grateful five children, nieces, nephews, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren
