Martin Daniel Sosa's Obituary
Martin (Dan) Daniel Sosa, 90, formerly of Jacksonville NC, passed away on June 18, 2021 of natural causes in Homestead Florida where he has resided since 2015. He was born in San Francisco May 16,1931. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1949 and retired as Captain in 1995.
After retiring from the Marine Corps he worked Civil Service Base Maintenance Electrician for 20 years. Dan was a proud Father who raised his three children from a previous marriage.
He was an avid bicyclists who participated in several senior games and also loved to travel with his wife Margarita.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Mary Skoglund and her husband Harry(Skog)
Skoglund and his Father Martin Sosa. He is survived by his beloved and caring wife, Margarita Sosa of 31 years of Homestead
Florida, his brother Carlos Sosa and family, his three children, Scott Sosa and his wife Karen of
Jacksonville, NC, Kurt Sosa and his wife Angela of Corbin, KY and Elena Sosa of San Diego,
CA; his eight grandchildren, Grant Dunnagan and his wife Amber, Erik Dunnagan, Lyneah
Tsirikos and her husband Mike, Logan Sosa and his wife Jessica, Sam Sosa, Tyler Sosa and his
wife Kendra, Alex Sosa and his wife Ashley, Kylea Sheils; and his five great-grandchildren,
Ciara and Cilly Dunnagan, Micaela Tsirikos, Owen Sosa and Desmond Sosa and two step grandchildren Adam and Matthew Cunningham.
The family will hold a private memorial ceremony with Marine Corps
Funeral Honors.
