Marta Sanchez
November 8, 1925 – September 19, 2022
Marta was born in Camaguey, Cuba on November 8, 1925 to Dr. Sergio Brice
and Marta Cordova -Brice. She married Ricardo Sanchez in January 1955.
They remained inseparable till the end.
She and Ricardo came to the United States, settling in Miami, Florida
where she resided for the rest of her life. Marta earned a Masters
Degree in Education from The University of Havana and received her
Doctorate of Education from The University of Miami. Marta was a natural
born teacher. She loved teaching and loved her students.
She spent of 30 years working at Miami Dade College from 1964 until her
retirement in 1994. Marta loved working at MDC, and she made
many lifelong friends . Marta loved traveling . She saw the world
- From New York, to San Francisco, Seattle, Alaska , and
Canada to England, France , Germany to North Africa, Egypt, and Israel.
She is survived by Ricardo, her husband of 67 years, her son Rick, her
daughter-in-law, Linda, and her grandson, Eric.
