Mark W. O'Shaughnessy's Obituary
MARK WILLIAM O’SHAUGHNESSY, 52, died suddenly on May 24th in Daytona Beach, FL while on his way to Miami. Mark was Senior Vice President of Delphi Technology Inc. of Boston, MA. Mark is survived by his wife, Sigrid O'Shaughnessy; daughters, Abigail, Emily, Maya and Camilla; mother, Dawn; brothers, David (wife Sharon) and Andrew (wife Patricia); father-in-law, Francisco Bango; sisters-in-law, Kim Bango (husband Carlos Tamargo), Lourdes (husband Pedro) Garcia, Stephanie Bango (husband Mike Cashion); two nephews, ten nieces and hundreds of friends from all over the world.
Mark was born in Massapequa, NY on February 9, 1968 to Dawn and Harold O'Shaughnessy. He lived in Massapequa until he was 12 years old where he moved to Centerport, NY. He attended Harborfields High School where he played soccer, lacrosse and basketball. He graduated from Boston University in 1990. After graduating, Mark developed a career in the insurance industry attaining a very reputable resume. Mark returned to Delphi 3 years ago and during that time landed major deals which greatly contributed to the success of the company.
Mark was a devoted father and husband and he adored his four girls. They were his pride and joy. Mark traveled the world and met friends along the way. Mark had many successes but his greatest legacy is how many lives he touched throughout his life.
To know Mark was to love him. Everyone who met him was touched by him in one way or another. His spirit was bigger than life and he was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. I'm pretty sure he did. Several times.
He lived his life with spirit and zest and these beautiful characteristics will be carried on with his survivors;
A service to honor Mark will be held on June 1st at 1:00 pm and will be streamed for all to visit. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86717084901
