Molina, Maria E's Obituary
Maria Esther Molina Garcia Diaz “Aby”
Mary was born 2/5/1932 in Cifuentes, Cuba to her parents Miguel Garcia Ramirez & Luz Marina Diaz.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 1/17/2025 in Miami, Florida.
Mary was born with a strong desire to serve others & she did so with a loving heart and forgiving spirit. She loved listening to romantic ballads; dancing to anything with a beat; & praying her rosary every night. She could talk your ear off yet was a good listener. Aby to her great surprise enjoyed landscaping in Highland Lakes, Bergenfield & finally Miami. She enjoyed singing and was often invited to sing “Feliz Navidad” at Mind of Christ Ministries even if it was over the phone.
She was tragically preceded in death by her husband Francisco “Edy” Molina , a Cuban political prisoner at a young age. Yet she persevered because she had 2 daughters to raise in a new country, the USA. She worked happily at Murray Fabric Center in Union City, NJ for 28 years. Mary was recognized everywhere in NJ & FL as that nice sales lady on Bergenline Avenue. Maria was called Mary until her grandchildren were born & then she became “Aby”!
Aby leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Esther Molina and Raquel Eleftheriou & son-in-law Eleftherios “Teddy” Eleftheriou; grandchildren Anastasis Eleftheriou, Chloe Gasset, Maria Sofia Goode and her husband Gregory Goode.
She is survived by her siblings Arely Garcia (& wife Mayda Gil), Magaly Moran (& husband Oswald), Blanca Pereiras (& late husband Manuel). She will also be missed by her very many nieces, nephews, great & great-great nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Miguel Garcia Ramirez & Luz Marina Diaz; her stepmother Aurora Candida Davila and her siblings Haydee Rodriguez (& late husband Florencio) & Miguel Garcia (& wife Nelsa); and her dear niece Nelsita.
