Louis Sclease III's Obituary
Louis “Louie” Sclease III passed away on March 26, 2020 in Florida City, Florida.
He was born in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Louis Sclease Jr and Rosalyn (Beck) Sclease Martin.
A general contractor in the state of Florida for 35 years, he was a problem solver who loved overcoming a challenge. He also held GC licenses in 7 other states, along with many projects he completed internationally. His business had been headquartered in South Florida since 1992. At the start of his career, he was a car salesman in Pensacola. Louie loved interacting with people from all walks of life, which served him well as a car salesman and a contractor.
Louie was a member of the Moose Lodge (557 Pensacola; 5578 Leisure City) where he held many positions, including Governor and Jr Governor. He was also a member of Sons of the American Legion (post 0043 Homestead).
Louie loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was generous with everyone, always ready to listen, give advice, or help someone in need. He had the best smile and loved to make people laugh with an endless supply of jokes and stories. He loved his family and his friends, which he considered family as well.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Annette Miller; daughter, son-in law and grandchildren, Nancy Annette Giusti, Anthony V Giusti, Natalie Giusti and Nicholas Giusti of Pflugerville TX; son, David Camron Disher of Pensacola, FL; and daughter, Alaina Carolann Sclease of Pensacola, FL. His is also survived by his siblings, Anthony (Tracy), Patricia, Alane, Cynthia, and Joseph (Cindy); as well as uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, John.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time when family and friends can gather.
