Kathleen Blanton Adkinson's Obituary
We sadly announce the passing of Kathleen Blanton Adkinson, 73, of Miami, FL, on January 12th, 2023 at 1:00PM. She passed peacefully with her family by her side after fighting a difficult battle with cancer. She is now at peace and without pain. She is survived by her husband Ronald “Duke” Adkinson, 74, and their two daughters, Brenda Adkinson, 50, and Frances Eawaz, 44. She is also survived by three grandsons. Benjamin Adkinson, Nathaniel Adkinson, and Dillon Eawaz.
Kathleen is also survived by her mother, Marion Blanton and two siblings; Carol Palestrant and Ed Blanton. There are countless nieces, nephews, family and friends who will also miss her and carry her memory with them.
Kathleen was born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. She graduated from Hialeah High School. She attended Miami-Dade and worked in fashion retail. One night at the Hialeah Race Track she met Duke and they went on to start a family in Miami, and raise their two daughters. She always put her family first and attentively raised her daughters from home when they were young. Kathleen proudly worked for Dade County Public Schools for over 30 years, at both Pinecrest Elementary School and the administrative offices.
Kathleen will truly be missed by many.
