With a broken heart I announce the passing of my beloved father Juan Vento, 86, on September 23, 2020. Many of you knew him as Pipo since that is what I always called him.
He was a humble and generous man that lived every day of his life for his family. He came to the United States with a young wife and baby, one change of clothes and $10 in his pocket in 1962. They lived the “American Dream”. Through hard work and dedication, he established several successful restaurants in the Miami area. One of his proudest moments, was when he hosted and had lunch with the President of the United States at his first restaurant “La Esquina de Tejas”. My father was respected and loved by all who worked and knew him.
Pipo, I thank you for all you gave me and for letting me become the woman I am today. Your unwavering love, compassion, and beautiful smile enlightened all who knew you. I will miss terribly our FaceTime calls everyday. Most of all I will miss your beautiful smile, laugh, and shining eyes.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the following charities:
