Mr Garrido and his family and their family foundation came to the aid of Bimini, Bahamas on the occasion of our island's brush with Hurricane Erma. Their generous gift of food and supplies was deeply appreciated and helped many through a difficult period. We pray God to embrace him now and place him among the saints. We ask God's peace to flood the hearts and minds of all who mourn his passing but grief is to be tempered with our knowing of God's promises to those who love him. He is in God's good care now. May God bless Mrs Garrido and all the family and his many friends. May all of us have hearts like his.

To say the loss of Tony is huge is an understatement. Tony was the sweetest and kindest person I've ever known. He and my dad (Cuco Pedrosa) were great friends. A real gentle giant. I have such fond childhood memories of the family.
My broken heart is with his beloved wife, Zady, and his extraordinary children, Junior, Maria Elena, Luly and Zadita, and their significant others. I also want to extend my deepest sympathies to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I will never forget Tony, and I mourn his loss as one of my own family members. My love to the entire Garrido family.
