Jose Antonio Carreno's Obituary
Jose Antonio Carreño was called home by our Lord on July 05, 2022. He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Yolanda Carreño. They shared a life-long, fairytale love story that modeled for us all a true and unconditional love and commitment to marriage and family. Jose was a loving, devoted, and supportive father to his children, Jorge Carreño, Tania Carreño-Mederos, and Abel Carreño, and a second father to his children’s spouses, Nestor Mederos and Ailicec Carreño. Jose was also a much cherished grandfather to Jorge, Carolina, Karina, Javier, Andres, Natalie, and Zachary. Jose was a proud and valiant veteran of the Brigada 2506 during the Bay of Pigs Invasion of Cuba and of the United States Army. He enjoyed listening and dancing to music, traveling, eating sweets, and, most of all, playing dominoes. He was an honorable, giving man that will be forever remembered and missed by all those whose lives he touched.
We pray, dear Lord, that You welcome Jose into Your paradise, where there is no sorrow, no weeping, no pain, but only the fullness of Your peace and joy for all eternity.
