Jose Alarcon's Obituary
Alarcon, Jose Alberto was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and grew up in Barranquilla, where he met and married Julia Doris Bonilla Alarcon (deceased). They moved to New York City and raised two children, Jose R. Alarcon and Maribel A. Alarcon that he loved so much, before settling in Miami, Florida. Jose worked as a controller at Aerocondor Airlines, held accounting roles with other airlines, and established one of Miami’s first export-import companies for exotic animals. He founded his Public Accounting firm, which operated for over 35 years, and actively invested in real estate. Beyond business, Jose enjoyed art, dance, cooking, reading and humor. A devoted father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather, he cherished his extended family spanning Colombia, Costa Rica, and the United States.
Besides his children, he was a loving father-in-law to Sergio A. Pacheco.
He was a cherished grandfather of Marc A. Redondo Sr. & wife, Victoria Redondo; Vanessa Alarcon & husband, Juan Carlos Quiros Espinoza; Nicholas E. Alarcon & wife Carol Rojas Herrera; Julio E. Alarcon & wife Amy Marcos; and step grandfather to Xylene M. Pacheco.
He was a cherished great-grandfather of Marc A. Redondo, Jr., Kayli E. Redondo, Matthew A. Redondo, Michael A. Redondo, Santiago Q. Alarcon, Valentina Q. Alarcon, Leo Alarcon Marcos, Daniel Santiago Alarcon & Gabriella Claire Alarcon
He was grateful to the family, friends and extended family from Colombia, Costa Rica & United States.
