Johnny Roy Brown Sr's Obituary
In the loving memory of Johnny Roy Brown Sr., our beloved husband, and father, who peacefully passed away on May 21, 2024, at Jackson South Memorial Hospital at the age of 70, "God said, "My good and faithful servant, you have endured all the trials, pain, and tribulations on this side. You fought a good fight, but now it's time to have eternal rest in heaven, where I have prepared a place for you."
Johnny Roy Brown Sr., a man of numerous achievements and contributions, was born in Brooke, Florida, on June 17, 1953. He was the elder son of the late Retha Mae Brown and Mr. Henry Atkins and was preceded in death by Johnny Roy Brown Jr. He received his early education from the Miami-Dade Public School System. In 1972, Johnny Brown and Diane Thompson met. They later got married on August 12, 1974. They led a beautiful life, had four children, and left behind a legacy of love and devotion. Johnny's health began to decline in July 2011. He became a Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church member, where he was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Later, he attended the Pentecostal Power Church until his health declined further.
Brother Johnny Roy Brown is survived by his wife, Diane Thompson-Brown, and four daughters: Felicia Knox (Cedric Sr.) from Lawrenceville, GA, Barbara Mae Sneed (Lawrence Sr.), Stephanie Brown, and Ashley Cross (adopted). He is also survived by one brother-in-law, Charlie J Thompson (Tina), two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Thompson and Dorothy Dallas from Lawrenceville, GA, an uncle, John Atkins (Sadie), fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and sorrowing relatives and friends.
