Jeanne P Lowe's Obituary
Lowe, Jeanne P.
Passed in peace Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at the age of 84. She was born in the Green Mountain, dairy-farming State of Vermont to Chester and Elsie Pratt. She was one of four siblings – brothers Freddy, Webster and beloved sister Barbara. After High School graduation, she moved to Miami, Florida and while working at the airlines, met and married the love of her life and husband of 60 years. Jeanne was overseer of the Lowe household and raised two children in the suburbs of south Miami. In retirement Jeanne and her husband, John, became snowbirds – splitting their time between Vermont and Homestead, Florida with stops to visit family in Kentucky and West Virginia.
Jeanne truly loved life! She loved her family and, together with her husband, opened their hearts and their homes to many relatives. Whether for a week-long Florida vacation or a months or years-long stay, she welcomed them into her home. She was the hostess with the “mostest” and loved entertaining and being entertained. She was elegant and dignified, but also humorous and witty with her well-known one-liners. She enjoyed so much in life – painting, exercising (badmitten, tennis, jogging, walking, aqua aerobics!), games, yard sales and beach combing. But most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
Jeanne is loved and missed by many friends and family members; but, especially by her son Greg Lowe, daughter-in-law Laurie Lowe, daughter Corrine Lowe and three grandchildren she absolutely adored - Cody Lowe, Brett Lowe and Evan Wells.
A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Reception will be scheduled at the Royal Palm Clubhouse (Keys Gate, North Gate) when it is safe once again to have community gatherings.
