Abuelo thank you for teaching me to lead with love, be generous, and above all to treasure family. I have so many happy and funny memories that I can look back on with a teary smile and I'm very grateful to you for that. One of my favorite memories will be when I took you to a Miami Heat game and we got to watch Wade play one of his last games. Though our team lost, the smile and joy in your spirit that night will forever be the greatest win. Que en paz descanse mi angel.
Papa Carvajal was always jovial and would pay me a compliment every time I saw him... which every woman needs once in a while. He would always flash a smile, speak in English, followed by Spanish. The Spanish accent he had was intriguing making you want to listen and watch him even take a puff from a cigar. Papa Carvajal was always kind to me and my family.
