Graciela E. Cosculluela's Obituary
DE COSCULLUELA, GRACIELA ESTEVEZ, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2014 surrounded by her family at the home of her son in law, Dr. Luis Llamas and her daughter, Lisette. She was born in Havana, Cuba and lived an exciting and interesting life. Graciela was a positive woman always looking at the good side of life and enjoying every moment. She loved and lived the good times of Havana of the 40's and 50's and did not let the hurdles of exile in the U.S. bring her down. She faced exile with her characteristic strength and will power. She provided for her children and ensured that they developed into mature, self-reliant people. Graciela was a loving but demanding woman. Her strength came from her deep Christianity. She loved God and fervently prayed to Him seeking help for her challenges until the day He took her. He was always there for her. Likewise, she was always there for her children, Lita Fowler (Guillermo Dominguez ), Lisette Llamas (Luis), Ana Maria Buchenhorner (Michael), Alex Cosculluela (Susan), Victor Cosculluela and George Fowler (Cristina). Her children respected and greatly loved her. She is survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One grandchild, Carolyn, predeceased her. In her last years of her life she was lovingly cared for by Cristina Lopez. A mass for the eternal rest of her soul will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 1:30 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1400 Miller Road, Coral Gables, Florida, followed by Christian Burial at Woodlawn Park North, 3260 SW 8th Street, Miami, Florida.
