Okay I got one for you hi it's Tom from here down in South Florida currently in Texas so.
Skip story okay. So me and Skipper doing this comic show in a mall in West Palm something always seem to happen at this place it seemed like it was curse so anyway this day it lived up to its name. It was an oral surgery... I said normal show day what the heck is Google thinking?? Okay so it was a normal surgery no dragon I said nope try again you see where I have problems with this thing whatever, it's keep messing with me. He knows the story I'm trying to tell!!!
So we are packing it up and calling you today and on our right there is a cop walking on the right side of the mall with a shotgun in his hand kind of scanning the place from left to right not really looking at anyone like the Terminator or something. And skips like yeah let's get the hell out of here. So we and everyone else that was doing the show that day have collector things onto the dollies and are about to bring them out to our cars when we get stopped by the police and said that we're not allowed to leave apparently someone had robbed some place abandoned the car at the front of the mall and they done it at gunpoint and the police were searching for the gun as they had found the suspects but not the gun. So we are now standing outside the mall they locked the mall because it was closed and it starts thunderstorming now everyone's standing out there with thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that is about to get rained on and our cars are where we can see them from the parking lot and they won't let us leave everyone was getting pretty pissed. Well it didn't rain yet and it seemed like it was about 30 minutes had gone by 45 and they finally let us go because the dogs had tracked on the gun and we were just so pissed we were throwing long boxes I mean heavy long boxes full of comics into the back of the truck and then the big contraption made out of PVC pipes and grates or racks that we put the display the comics on slam the door shut on our right there were two canine units barking up a storm around a FedEx box which is apparently where one of the suspects hid the gun he slid it down into a little compartment where he would be able to retrieve it later. Skip was really fuming at this point I mean he had steam coming out of his ears and some little old lady with big glasses on as we were getting in the truck hold up and asked what happened!!?? With a straight face canine units circling the FedEx box in back of us, with a straight face! Skip looked right at for puffing his cigarette, and said they found a head.
That little old lady's eyes got as big as her glasses she hopped back in the car and left a tire trail when they peeled out the parking lot we laughed the whole way home!!!
One joke turn that frown upside down 😂😂😂😀😉😎😁👍
Skip.
Nuff said 😉👍
What!!? Skip cannot be gone he owe me money! Just kidding got your attention? Remind me of our Buddy Lee, landscape used to go back and forth so so funny. Love listening to the two of them. Skip was such a hell of a guy there's not even a way to begin, maybe when I was pretty young he became a lifelong friend him and Arleene were the best I ever could have had asked for, they were one of the things that are truly in this world, honest people with big hearts. Skip could definitely speak his mind and he would tell everyone that he was an a hole just straightforward just like just so you know I'm an a-hole so don't be offended I'm going to let you know. But as much of a bull in China shop as you think he might have been, if you got to be there after the barbecue when everything calmed down, you'd find the sweetest soul the biggest teddy bear that you'd ever seen. He and Arlene had a talent that is very rare sadly nowadays they would actually listen. Like really listen not just wait for their turn to talk. They were the best of friends, to me and extremely to each other. Skip was definitely very quick to give you a joke or to light up your smoke but the one place that he had to be was right there with Arlene they were the perfect balance with each other. I had so many great skip stories still and I wasn't sure what to say but I will say that I was very sad a long time ago cuz I really felt that my friend was gone I'm very happy that Arleene had that extra time to spend with him. Me and Rob came down to visit him a few times I will tell some of my crazy skip stories but not yet, so check back because they're unbelievable. I do truly believe that people are always still with us and he will definitely be with me we were even talking about him at the store today and the other day when Rob was revving his truck it reminded me of Wednesday I was like oh crap skips here which is funny because they both have big blue trucks of course skip had to have the bigger one. Hulk smash. I will tell you this skip out of only a couple people that I know I can truly say had style. And when I say style I mean knowing who you are what you want to say and not giving a damn. He was very true to himself and cared very deeply for the people he cared about. And if you're one of those people and you don't know that know that he did. So I am going to come back later and tell some of my silly skip stories cuz I figured this is probably the best place to tell him but in the meantime I did actually have a death in my family someone that was very close to me my girlfriend and it was kind of sudden and she had a problem where she thought I was running around on her and I was very upset when I found out of her passing it was not a great place or time to find out and I just went outside with a cigarette looked up at the sky and said see wasn't cheating on you. So I guess the first thing that I thought of that I didn't actually want to say here but it would probably be totally appropriate considering who Skip was was the first thing that I thought of when I found out about him was the first thing that I thought of so,
God, we give you a Skip, try not to piss him off. 😇😇😂😀😉
Like to think he's up there with my buddy Roscoe laughing and having a great time just waiting for us. I miss you buddy see you soon. The world is a quieter place without you in it, but a better one for having you in it when you were. Thanks man.
In the early years of their marriage Gloria and George lived in a third floor apartment in Taunton Mass. Skipper was about four years old, a handsome little guy with a happy and fun personality. I was asked to babysit him so his mom and dad could have dance night out . I loved taking care of this little guy .He was so much fun racing up and down three flights of stairs and crashing toy cars into each other. I was actually disappointed when it came time to go home. Skipper was a good boy and as I’ve known him he was a good man. Rest in peace Skip and know that we all love you and will miss you greatly.

He was an super hero to me growing up a pivotal person in my life. I always wanted to be a good man like him and today I am thanks to his presence 🙏 ill never forget the many hours of jokes being thrown around from skipper to Kevin to Richie and even my dad got a few in. I love this man with all my heart and im honored to call him family I know his transition to the afterlife will be felt by many and it'll be hard but his memories will last forever. I already miss ya unc dont stress just rest myself and others will be here for Arlene she made a very similar impact in my life as well. Thank you two for always being there for me while I grew into a man. Now its my turn to be there for you.
Love you always,
Michael
