It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Genoveva "Beba" Elisa Martinez, who was born on December 2nd, 1920, in Las Villas, Cuba. She was a source of love, inspiration, and positivity to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Beba is survived by her three adult children, Grisell Victoria, Francisco Enrique, and Hector Gabriel; her five cherished grandchildren, Jasmine Elisa, Elisa Cristina, Teresita, Ernesto Javier, and Isabelle, and her three precious great-grandchildren, Livia Paula, Fernando Alberto, and Enrique Marcos. Her legacy lives on through the generations she touched, and her memory will forever be engraved in our hearts.
Known for her radiant spirit, Beba saw the good in everyone and everything. She never uttered a negative word about another soul and carried a profound sense of optimism that inspired those around her. Her wisdom guided us through life's trials and tribulations. She taught us that even in the face of adversity, one could choose to embrace life with a smile and a heart full of hope.
Beba was a pillar of strength for her family, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who poured her love into each generation. She created a nurturing and supportive home where laughter and love filled the air. Her cooking, especially her signature dishes, had the power to comfort and heal. Gatherings at her house were the source of countless cherished memories.
Her love for her Cuban heritage was unwavering, and she shared stories of her homeland with pride, keeping the culture alive for her family. She will forever be remembered for her delicious empanadas, which will be passed down through the generations as a reminder of her love and heritage.
