Gary Boyd Lumannick's Obituary
Gary was born October 22, 1941in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles and Genevieve Lumannick.
He had one brother, Allan Lumannick who passed away in 2022.
The family moved to Maple Heights Ohio where Gary graduated from Maple Heights High in 1959. He then attended and graduated from Ohio state university in 1964, with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
Gary then began his 39 year career as a Middle School Math teacher. For his first three years, he taught at Garfield Junior High School in Garfield, Ohio.
Then in 1967, Gary moved to Miami, Florida and began teaching in Miami Dade County Public Schools. He first taught at south Miami Middle School, then Brownsville Middle School, and lastly at Miami Springs Middle School until he retired.
In Miami Gary attended the University of Miami and attained an Master's Degree in Business Administration and a juris Doctor in Law.
Soon after arriving in Miami, Gary met the love of his life Mary Rose Kalback. They were married for 53 years until her passing in 2021.
Gary is survived by his daughter Laura Marie Lumannick.
Gary enjoyed building model airplanes and fossil hunting.
