Francisco J. Alzola, 77, formerly of Cuba, passed away in Miami, Florida on October 7, 2021.
A Memorial Service is scheduled to take place in Chapel E at Memorial Plan Westchester on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 12pm-4pm.
Francisco Jose Alzola, Jr was born in Cardenas, Cuba on July 25, 1944. His parents were Francisco Jose Alzola and Clara Obregon Alzola. He was the eldest of three. His siblings are Clara Borges & Eduardo Alzola.
After leaving his beloved Cuba in 1961, at the age of 16, he completed his studies and graduated from the University of Miami as an Industrial Engineer.
After many years of working in this field, he opened a very successful Import/Export business, Mexart Imports and then another business that made customer designs, Rising Sun Designs.
His hobbies included fishing, boating, archeology, and spending time with his family. He adored his grandchildren and was known for gathering his grandchildren at every family gathering for a photo.
Francisco Alzola passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 7, 2021. He was 77. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Muñiz Alzola, his three children, Elena Alzola Smith, Lourdes Alzola Lopez, Francisco Jose Alzola, Jr and his six grandchildren, Michael Smith, George Gregory Lopez, Tiffany Smith, Scott Lopez, Allison Smith, and Adrian Lopez.
