Felipe Lorie's Obituary
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Felipe Lorie, who entered eternal rest on Friday, February 13th, at the age of 81. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.
Felipe was born in Cuba, to Angel L. Lorie and Joaquina de la Vega. He was predeceased by his only brother Angel "Guiche" Lorie.
Felipe was a man of honor, who was loved by many. He loved to travel and he loved to cook, but mainly he loved to share those passions with his loved ones. His presence and humorous personality lit up any room and his generosity towards his family and friends was unmatched. He was a devoted and giving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was proud of his family and he dedicated his life to them. What was most important to him, was to keep the family united and happy. Even in his last days, what made him the happiest was to be surrounded by his family, and especially his beloved "Gordi".
Felipe is survived by his wife, Olga Mari, who he loved and adored for 52 years. In addition, he is survived by his son Felipe (Ana Gabriela), daughter Vicky, son Raul, daughter Angie (George), son Tony (Lynda), and daughter Margie, as well as his grandchildren, Kristin (Bora), Jackie (Michael), Daniela, Alex (Claudia), Samantha (Magnus), George (Bella), Michael, Sophia (Ricky), Felipe (Olivia) and Gabriel. He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jordan, and Alp. He felt blessed and overjoyed to have the chance to meet, love, and enjoy his great-grandchildren.
Felipe's legacy lives on through his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many lives he touched during his lifetime.
