Ezra Damaris Papayorgis' Obituary
Ezra Papayorgis passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. Ezra was
born in New York on 01/16/1981 and daughter of
Jose and Elizabeth Papayorgis. She is survived by
her husband, Henry Philipson, and six children
including Alexander Granja, William A. Gonzales,
Louis Roman Jr., Joshua Roman, Briana Philipson
and Jazmilynn Philipson.
Ezra was a fighter for most of her life. She had a
liver transplant thirteen years ago, completed two
undergraduate degrees, and worked as an LCSW
Case Manager supporting people in need.
Ezra and Henry met a long time ago in first grade
and unexpectedly met a much later life. They fell in
love and were married. They were both dedicated to
each other and had numerous plans. Many wonder
why this young, vibrant woman died at the height of
her life. How could this happen to Ezra? However,
God has a plan for all of us. With Henry, God placed
him in Ezra's life to love and support her during their
time together and the end of her life.
To help us process this loss, we should keep in mind
Jesus's words:
I am the resurrection of life. Whoever believes in me
will live, even though he dies - John 11:25-26.
A celebration of Life for Ezra Papayorgis will be held
at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Braman
Funeral Home & Crematory, 809 N. Krome Ave,
Homestead, Florida 33030. The family will receive
friends immediately following the service until 10:00
p.m.
