Evelyn Caridad Valdes' Obituary
In Loving Memory of Evelyn Caridad Valdes
June 11, 1997 – June 14, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Caridad Valdes, affectionately known as Titi Evelyn and Nana, who departed this world on June 14, 2025, in Miami, Florida. She was 28 years old.
Evelyn was born on June 11, 1997, in Miami Beach, Florida. A proud graduate of the Class of 2015, she continued her education with unwavering dedication, earning her Associate’s in Science degree, followed by both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work.
Evelyn devoted her life to helping others. As a therapist, she worked closely with children affected by mental health challenges and domestic violence, becoming a safe and supportive presence for many young lives. At the time of her passing, she was serving as a social worker at Baptist Hospital, where her compassion, strength, and advocacy for vulnerable individuals touched countless lives.
Outside of her professional life, Evelyn found joy in the simple pleasures — fishing, boating, spending time by the ocean, crocheting, dancing, and listening to music. Her love for the beach and her creative spirit were reflections of her vibrant soul. Evelyn was a natural nurturer, always ready to lend a hand, a smile, or a listening ear. Her presence was warm, grounding, and unforgettable.
Evelyn is lovingly remembered by her mother, Kristy Garcia; her father, Jose Valdes; her brother, Jose Valdes Jr.; and her sister, Jocelyn Valdes. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those in need.
A memorial service celebrating Evelyn’s life was held on July 21st at 4:00 PM at Branam Funeral Home in Homestead, Florida.
